What are the factors that affect the performance index of steel structure?

According to the current technical characteristics, the quality of steel structure products in the fast steel factories supply chain is getting better and better. Generally speaking, there are many factors that affect the quality of steel structure. Not only the structural characteristics of steel structure itself, but also external factors affect its composition and function. The processing of the steel structure of the equipment is similar to the manufacturing of precision steel structure, between ordinary structural parts (less processing requirements) and precision machining (processing requirements are more fine), using welding or bolt connection.

Performance indexes affecting steel structure include the following elements:

First, intensity. The strength index of steel includes elastic limit, yield limit and tensile limit. The design is based on the yield strength of steel. High yield strength can reduce structure weight, save steel and reduce cost. Tensile strength is the greater stress that steel can withstand before failure. At this time, the structure loses its performance due to large plastic deformation, but the structure does not collapse due to large deformation, which meets the requirements of resisting rare earthquakes.

Second, plasticity. The plasticity of steel generally refers to the obvious plastic deformation without fracture after the stress exceeds the yield point.

Three, cold bending performance. The cold bending property of steel is to measure the crack resistance of steel when plastic deformation occurs during bending at room temperature. The cold bending property of steel is to test the bending deformation property of steel under specified bending degree through cold bending test.

Four, impact toughness. The impact toughness of steel refers to the ability of steel to absorb mechanical kinetic energy in the fracture process under impact load. It is a mechanical property that measures the resistance of steel to impact load. Due to low temperature and stress concentration, brittle fracture may occur. The impact toughness index of steel is usually obtained by impact test of standard specimens.

Five, welding performance. The weldability of steel refers to the welding joint with good performance under certain welding process conditions. Weldability can be divided into two types: weldability in the welding process and weldability in the performance. Weldability in the welding process refers to the sensitivity of the weld and the metal near the weld not to produce thermal cracks or cooling shrinkage cracks during cooling. Intransitive verb durability. There are many factors affecting the durability of steel. First, the corrosion resistance of steel is poor, so protective measures must be taken to prevent corrosion and rust of steel. Protective measures include: regular maintenance of steel paint, galvanized steel, and special protective measures in the presence of acid, alkali, salt and other highly corrosive media. If the offshore platform structure adopts the "anode protection" measure to prevent jacket corrosion, the zinc ingot is fixed on the jacket, so that the seawater electrolyte will automatically corrode the zinc ingot first, so as to protect the steel jacket. Secondly, since the failure strength of steel under high temperature and long-term load is much lower than the short-term strength, the long-term high temperature endurance strength of steel should be determined.
