The difference between truss and steel truss

Truss refers to the truss made of steel, industrial and civil building roof structure crane beam, bridge and hydraulic gate, etc., steel truss is commonly used as the main bearing member.  All kinds of towers, such as mast tower, television tower and transmission line tower, are commonly used in space steel trusses composed of three, four or multiple plane trusses.  

 Steel grid frame is a spatial structure composed of several steel rods connected by nodes in a certain grid form.  The basic units of the network frame have trigonal cone, trigonal body, cube, truncated quadonal cone, etc., which can be combined into a plane shape of trigonal, quadrilateral, hexagon, circle or any other form.  It has the advantages of space force, light weight, large stiffness and good seismic performance.  It can be used as the roof of gymnasium, cinema, exhibition hall, waiting hall, stadium stand awning, airplane hangar, two-way large column net frame structure and workshop.  The disadvantage is that the number of rods on the node is more complex than the plane structure.  

The steel truss integrates the functions of light weight, load bearing, energy saving, fire prevention, sound insulation, explosion relief and earthquake resistance. It not only maintains the advantages of high safety degree and long service life of traditional reinforced concrete members, but also satisfies the requirements of modern construction for light weight, energy saving and environmental protection.  Steel truss is conducive to seismic construction, and reasonable seismic connection of cooperative plates can satisfy the requirements of 8 degree seismic fortification intensity.  And when the earthquake occurs, the secondary damage formed by the plate is small.
